WDM2017

 In responsible for developing Water Demand Management Learning Forums projects under the ASEAN Working Group on Water Resources Management (AWGWRM), Department of Water Resources (DWR) of the Kingdom of Thailand is pleased to officially announce the hosting of ‘International Conference on Water Demand Management among Competing Sectors’ which is focusing on the country status of competition for water in the said three main sectors; namely industry, agriculture and domestic uses, and its measures to cope with the increasing demand. In addition, the event will commemorate this auspicious occasion of the  50^th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN.

Date and Venue

The event will be hosted during 2-4 August 2017 at Swissotel Le Concorde Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

Objectives

1. To report the status of competition for water among three main sectors, namely domestic, agriculture and industry in ASEAN Member States.
2. To exchange knowledge and experiences on this issue.
3. To share best practices, recommendations and measures for addressing the increasing demand.
4. To commemorate the 50^th Anniversary of ASEAN.

Target of Participants

The target participants will be the representatives from ASEAN Member States (AMS) and from Thai government and private agencies, RBOs and academies.
